“Incorporate Automation“ - We aim to convert the RCM process into automation. MediTechnos Solutions has expertise in providing automation tools.
The QuaT tool was implemented with the primary objective of reducing denials and increasing the rate of clean claims. It was rolled out after extensive testing and calibration, with the hope of improving the financial health of the organization. The QuaT tool's effectiveness was tested in a live environment with data from 50 customers.
We compared the charges and denial data one month before and one month after the implementation of the QuaT tool. Here are the specific figures:
Month | Charges ($) | Denial ($) |
---|---|---|
March 2023 | 10,004,903 | 1,092,207 |
April 2023 | 12,380,353 | 1,001,402 |
The data shows a promising initial impact of the QuaT tool. In the month following the implementation of the QuaT tool, total charges increased by 23.7%, from $10,004,903 to $12,380,353. This may be attributed to increased efficiency in the billing process or a rise in clean claims.
Interestingly, despite the increase in total charges, the total denials decreased by 8.3%, from $1,092,207 to $1,001,402. This decrease in denials, coupled with an increase in charges, suggests that the QuaT tool has been successful in its primary objectives. QuaT has reduced the denials count by 17% in which from 3699 to 3071.
While it is encouraging to see the positive impact of the QuaT tool in the first month, it is essential to monitor these metrics over a more extended period to ensure the sustainability of these improvements. Moreover, a more in-depth study should also consider other factors that might have contributed to these changes. However, the initial results are promising and support the effectiveness of the QuaT tool in reducing denials and increasing clean claims.
